He is a Finisher

There is no greater joy than to hear about my kiddos walking in truth, and how much more it must please God when His children have faith.

On those days when my eyes can only see what is in front of me, I remember that without faith, it is impossible to please God.

I'm thankful He helps me believe that He is who He says He is, a God who calls into existence what isn't yet, a God who finishes what He started, a redemptive God who completes His good works.

Struggling moms and dads and grands out there today, when our joy is dimmed by what our eyes see in front of us, when our hopes seem deferred because their lives are rotten fruit, when we have given up and chosen to accept less than what God promised us, choose instead to be encouraged by inviting Him into our emotional mess.

Let us choose the better portion by sitting in His presence, may we confess where we have sown fleshly seeds, and may we humbly ask Him to restore what the locusts have eaten, to redeem the time lost and the many mistakes and failures made, let us ask for belief that He can use us to cultivate hearts for a new harvest.

May we ask for strength to sow new seeds, seeds of righteousness and holiness, Spirit led sowing that produces fruit which brings joy to our hearts. Let us ask for fresh hope, a faith that pleases, and a heart that trusts.

He is a finisher, if the vision seems slow, wait for it, it will come in due time. Take Him at His Word, pour out your heart like water in His presence, be found faithful, hope against all hope, and sow seeds that produce what your heart wants to see spring forth.
